Spirit Lake's population has more than doubled in the past 20 years. Our town of over 2,000 has more than 4,000 part-time residents during the summer months as visitors flock to family lake cabins, resorts and campgrounds.

Tourism is giving new life to Spirit Lake's economy. Statewide tourism and travel spending is estimated at $3.5 billion and the recreation Meca of Spirit Lake is poised to capture its share.

In 2019 Spirit Lake continues to grow into a renowned tourist destination, recognized for its world class biking and hiking trails and amazing outdoor activities.
